As you walk through our doors, a sense of comfort and welcome is prevalent. Similar to arriving at Grandma’s house for family dinner, the warm scent of home cooked food is overwhelming and instantly conjures up memories of traditions and celebrations past. Friendly service and a quaint atmosphere provide for a dining experience firmly rooted in old eastern European traditions.
Our menu is a collection of recipes passed down from one generation to the next. Matija Bota, who with her husband Luka opened Dubrovnik, simply made the food as she would have at home. All ingredients were to be of the highest and freshest quality, portions were to be hearty and recipes were to be adhered to in order to ensure the same great taste as time passed. These lessons would be passed along to Matija`s daughter, Anna, who maintains these time honour principles with great pride.
Thirty years on, Matija`s wisdom and love guide us with her simple words, `Treat each guest as if they are a guest in our home`.
